MTNA Conference Recap

Last weekend we attended the MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) Conference in Las Vegas.  Now, when it comes to conferences, we’ve gone to our fair share of consumer and electronic events, such as the NAMM Show and the SAE IMSTA Festa.  This conference, however, was our first one that focused specifically on music teachers.  Being that this was a new crowd, we were eager to show those in attendance what we had to offer.

MTNA Conference In Las Vegas

2010-435-483_2

This weekend, we’re headed to Las Vegas to attend the MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) Conference, held at the Rio hotel.  This is a great event that brings music teachers, students, and industry experts together from around the world! We’re looking forward to taking part in this conference as we’ll be hosting a booth (similar to that of the NAMM Show) to interact individually with those who stop by, as well as presenting Playground Sessions for an hour to a larger audience.

As we continue…

NAMM In Nashville

From July 17th to July 19th the Playground team was in the beautiful city of Nashville to attend the Summer NAMM Show! As always, we had a great time at this event and met a lot of talented people! Check out our booth:

The event itself had a great turnout and we attracted a lot of people to our booth, demonstrating the product to musicians and to teachers, all of whom had the same positive reaction to our program!

SAE IMSTA Festa

On Saturday, June 14th, David and Darren attended the SAE IMSTA Festa in Los Angeles to demonstrate Playground Sessions to those interested in checking it out! People of all ages attended this event and stopped by our booth to learn more about our software! It’s always great sharing our passion for teaching people how to play the piano with those hungry to learn!

Of those who stopped by our booth, there were quite a few people who were brave enough to put their piano skills to the test by playing some of our songs in…

Playground at the RPMDA Conference

Playground Sessions is a proud member of the Retail Print Music Dealers Association (RPMDA) and recently attended their annual conference in Dallas, Texas.

The RPMDA has been the voice of the print music industry since 1976 and although Playground Sessions isn’t a conventional member of RPMDA, we all share the same mission to provide the highest quality music arrangements while fairly compensating the songwriters and music publishers. One of the key topics we are trying to address is the massive amount of illegitimate websites that provide access to unauthorized sheet music. The quality of unauthorized…

Queens College

Last week we had the opportunity to host an open house at Queen’s College, alma mater of our Associate Music Director, David Gracia (seen demonstrating Playground in the image). Among the presenters there were 20 other companies such as Boosey & Hawkes, New York Foundation for the Arts, Chamber Music America, Opera America, and Lincoln Center. We were the only tech company there and we definitely created a buzz with students, staff and faculty! They all seemed very impressed not only by the advanced technology of our software but also by the potential applications…

Berklee College of Music

A week ago the team spent some time at Berklee College of Music in Boston to demonstrate Playground Sessions to the powers that be. We’re working really hard to raise awareness of Playground Sessions to those looking to learn how to play the piano, so we figured focusing on people specifically going to school to learn music would be a great direction for us! To anyone who’s unfamiliar with Berklee, it’s a very prestigious music school, rivaled only by Julliard in New York. You can learn more about Berklee here:

Guitar Center Musician’s Expo 2014

Last weekend we had the opportunity to showcase Playground Sessions to Guitar Center staff and the general public at the Guitar Center Musician’s Expo! As we work to continue raising awareness about our product, it’s great to be given these opportunities to show people what we’re made of. The reactions we received were great and we even had a few brave souls play through a few of our rookie songs, landing 60% accuracy and above – not bad for people who knew nothing about the piano! Here are a few pictures we grabbed from…
